Indus Water Treaty 1960 India Pakistan

Brokered by the World Bank, this treaty divides the Indus river system. India has full control over the three Eastern Rivers: Ravi, Beas, and Sutlej. Pakistan controls the three Western Rivers: Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab. However, India is allowed to use western river waters for non-consumptive uses, including Run-of-the-River hydroelectric projects like Kishanganga and Ratle.
