India Successfully Conducts Salvo Launch of Pralay Missiles
India demonstrated enhanced strike capability as the DRDO executed a successful salvo launch of two Pralay tactical missiles from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur (Odisha) on 31 December 2025 during user evaluation trials.
Pralay is an indigenously developed solid-propellant quasi-ballistic missile capable of high-precision conventional strikes, supporting multiple warhead types and strengthening India’s evolving conventional deterrence architecture.
The missiles were fired in quick succession from the same launcher, accurately following predetermined trajectories and achieving all flight objectives, validating reliability under operational conditions.
Tracking was conducted through on-board sensors and telemetry systems deployed on a ship near the impact zone, confirming terminal accuracy.
The test showcased multi-agency cooperation led by DRDO labs — Research Centre Imarat, Advanced Systems Laboratory and Defence Research & Development Laboratory — with integration support from BDL & BEL, marking a significant milestone for India’s tactical strike readiness and future deployment by the Indian Army & IAF.
