Harimau Shakti : India-Malaysia Counter-Terror Drill in 2025
The fifth edition of the bilateral military exercise Harimau Shakti 2025 was held from December 5–18, 2025, at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan. The exercise aimed to strengthen operational cooperation between the Indian Army (represented by the Dogra Regiment and the Royal Malaysian Army (from the 25th Battalion). The primary focus was on rehearsing sub-conventional operations and counter-terrorist scenarios aligned with the United Nations mandate under Chapter VII .
Key drills included cordon and search, destroy missions, and heliborne insertions, all aimed at enhancing interoperability, sharing best practices, and ensuring coordinated action for future peacekeeping operations.
