Cyclone Ditwah's Path and IMD Alert

The Cyclonic Storm Ditwah, named by Yemen, has intensified over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and is tracking North-Northwest. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the system is likely to approach the coasts of North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh by early November 30. This cyclonic event is forecasted to bring heavy to extremely heavy rainfall (Red/Orange Alerts) across coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the Rayalaseema region. The storm has already caused significant damage and casualties in neighboring Sri Lanka, and fishermen have been advised against venturing into the sea until December 1st.
