75% of Vacancy for Haryana PSC post remains Vacant as Candidates fail to get 33%

The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) is facing severe backlash after only 151 candidates qualified for 613 Assistant Professor (English) vacancies , failing to meet the minimum 33% marks threshold in the Subject Knowledge Test .
Despite protests from high-credential aspirants—many of whom have UGC-NET/JRF qualified—the Commission defends its evaluation process, citing a robust "double-blind" onscreen marking system where distinct faculty members assess individual questions. Chairman went further to comment on students performance saying "Those who cant even get passing marks should look at themselves in mirror rather than commenting on process of selection"
The results have triggered political controversy, with opposition leaders questioning the transparency of the selection criteria and the alarming low success rate in reserved categories , where only a handful of candidates from SC and BC groups made the cut. Some have called commision anti-deprived as Category students are the ones suffering from passing minimum percentage criteria.
